TIGH NA SGIATH COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL, Grantown-on-Spey

The Tigh na Sgiath Country House Hotel offers eight bedrooms, each with individual character, size, and design. Ballindalloch, on the first floor, features a turret seating area with views overlooking the Cairngorm Mountains and a Bette style hydro bath/shower with underwater lighting and underfloor heating. Cromdale, also on the first floor, includes a Queen Anne Four Poster Bed and an original Art Deco bathroom with roll top bath/shower. Tulchan has a Queen Anne Four Poster Bed and a Bette style hydro bath with shower. Speanoch is located on the first floor with views overlooking the woodlands and red squirrel boxes. Lochindorb, newly refurbished, is on the second floor with a cottage style theme. Craggan includes a Canadian Style Sleigh King Size Bed with views overlooking the Cairngorm and Cromdale mountains, a wash hand basin within the room, and a private bathroom across the landing with a bath, shower, WC, basin, and heated towel rail. Nethy, on the second floor, features a cottage style theme with a double sofa and a Super King Bed or Twin Beds. Rothes is located on the second floor with a cottage style theme and a private bathroom with a cast iron bath.

Breakfast is served in the Morning Room, with views overlooking the Gardens and Red Squirrel Box, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Options include a Full Cooked Scottish Breakfast, fruit, and vegetarian choices. Continental Breakfast Trays can also be arranged. Afternoon Tea is served from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and includes sandwiches, fruit scones, treacle scones with clotted cream, and choux pastry buns filled with strawberries. The hotel also serves chocolate salted caramel tortes, lemon and raspberry cream cakes, coffee cake, millionaires shortbread and fruit cake.
